Tea Time Tuesday - Resumed in in collaboration with Gracious Hospital-Teas Blog-a-Thon

La-tea-dah is hosting a tea themed blog-a-thon through the month of May. Well, you knew I'd want to be a part, didn't you? I figure it's a great way to resume my Tuesday's Teatime and she already has the themes planned out! I missed last week when we were supposed to show a picture of a favorite cup and saucer and tell their story so I'll do that first.

This teacup and saucer were given to me by my sweet mother (along with a matching snack plate) for my 34th birthday. I love the design ~ it's so "Mommy"! Elegant, beautiful, sweet ~ a real classic! My sister, Veronica, found it for her at an antique shoppe in Reading. "If teacups could talk" I wonder what kind of stories this one would tell. Was it one of a lovely complete set of china gracing the dining hall of a manse in Indian Hill or was it a cherished one of a kind treasure of a stay at home mom who just enjoyed a cuppa once in a while ~ maybe while her husband was off fighting in one of the World Wars? Hmmm!

This week we're to share a favorite book or tidbit "Litera-tea". One book? Hmmm~ how about my three faves? "If Teacups Could Talk" is full of yummy recipes, ideas and inspirational stories. It's my favorite for good comfortable reading. "The Charms of Tea" is a beautiful book with more yummy recipes and lots of pretty decorating ideas with tea themes. It's my favorite for decorating ideas. And "Country Tea Parties" is so neat. It gives tea theme ideas for each month along with the recipes for the menu ideas. It's my favorite when planning any kind of special event.

Please visit La-tea-dah at gracioushospitality.blogspot.com for a list of all the other entrants in this fun blog-a-thon and join me next week for the theme she has planned for it.

Beautiful cup and saucer... and your books look so interesting! Wonder if the library has them?

I only have the special 3 violet cups-and-saucers that I showed with my teapot for your Tuesday Tea Time in January, so I don't have another cup-and-saucer story to share... so I guess I'll just skip last week's theme.

Your teacup is truly elegant. I can see why it's a favorite.

And your book selections corroborate what others are saying about them...must find "If Teacups Could Talk."

Your teacup is gorgeous! What is it about a feminine floral print piece of china that makes me swoon? Sweet story and great reads. Guess who went to the post office this morning? Let me know when your package arrives!

What a perfect post! And those three tea books are my favorites, too. Emily Barnes' book is always so fun to read, I just pulled it out last week again.

Tea Time Tuesday --- what a great idea!

I love your teacup and saucer. It's so elegant and sweet at the same time. How special that it was a gift from your mother. And your tea books -- great choices! Like you, my favorite is always Emilie Barnes --- and although the others inspire and are fun to read, nothing is quite so cozy and intimate and inspiring as Emilie's tea books!

Thanks for participating in the Gracious Hospitality tea blog-a-thon!

Denise, That sounds so neat. I believe I told you at another time that we use to have WOW in Michigan. But it stop several years ago. I have attend two down here. One last winter when I was down here. Then one last month but then yesterday I went to a WOW Retreat, the first I have ever attended. It was so neat. It was at someone that had a barn like building, remodled. Nice kitchen in it. Sarah Fry was our speaker.
No computer up yet. Have been using our daughters new laptop she got with income tax money, she has left it with us, she was trying a wireless service. But ran out time today! Now on our other daughters at her house so I am really trying to get things on my blog. Thanks for sharing.

Just received a check for $500.

Many times people don't believe me when I tell them about how much you can get taking paid surveys online...

So I took a video of myself actually getting paid over $500 for doing paid surveys.
