Tuesday's Teatime

Well, girls, I wanted to set up one of the tables for the Mother-Daughter Garden Tea I'm having here at my cottage tearoom on the 20th; but, it just keeps raining and it's not supposed to quit until Saturday! I'm not complaining about the rain as we really need it but it's not really condusive to a Garden Tea, if you know what I mean!
We'll have to post that picture later, I guess.

So for today, I'll do a little tea and also pick up on the one theme I wasn't able to join in on
~ that of handmade tea related linens. I was finally able to locate this lovely table topper I purchased from our neighbor's Estate Sale many years ago. Do you see the darling teapot embroiderd in the front? There are three of them evenly spaced around the edge!
I think of Virginia often ~ as her muffin tins are my favorite. They are VERY old yet they bake a beautiful muffin EVERY time! I'll have to share a picture of them on next weeks
"Vintage Thingies Thursday's" post.
And since we are thinking of Virginia, we'll have
Blueberry Muffins made in her tins with our tea!
They'll match our little cloth and china "to a tea"!
Have a "tea-lightful" week and don't forget to stop over at www.gracioushospitality.blogspot.com and visit all the other entrants' blogs.

Your tea table is beautiful! I love how fresh and spring-like it looks. The tablecloth is beautiful --- and the muffins and other tea goodies look so tasty!

I hope you are feeling much better! And I'm really glad you were able to join us this week!!!

I love your little bistro table and it is beautiful decorated. I think that is so perfect to have for a friend to come over and just chat over tea and muffins.

Your little tea table looks so warm and gracious. I absolutely love the table linen. What a wonderful thing to have as a memory of your friend. Muffins are my favorite.

That looks the perfect tea table for two. Glad that you are getting the much-needed rain so that everything will be nice and green when you do have your tea party outside.

I love the linens on that tea table and would love to see the embroidered teapot closer, but clicking didn't work this time.

Thank you for joining in again this week!

Simply elegant! I wish I could come right over and sit at that table and take tea!

A perfect tea for two! Thank you for your encouraging words in my blog. You asked about favors for your garden tea. Have you considered little potted flowers, tied with ribbons? One at each place setting would look so pretty. They wouldn't be too expensive if you bought a flat and repotted them yourself.
